On Tuesday 12th December ZOLL Medical celebrated the official opening of its new UK and EMEA Regional Office in Runcorn, Cheshire. Having been present in the UK for almost twenty five years, the move to new premises, twice the size of the existing ones, is testament both to the company’s outstanding growth and its long-term investment in the UK market.
To celebrate this, ZOLL was honoured to welcome Professor Jerry Nolan, Chair of the European Resuscitation Council, to perform the official opening. Professor Nolan provided a highly insightful talk on his vision for ‘The Future of Resuscitation’, before proceeding to officially open the building.
Guests also had the opportunity to hear from a cardiac arrest survivor, Chris Solomons, and to take part in a tour before lunch. The tour gave a behind-the-scenes look into daily operations and a chance to see ZOLL technology in action through a high-fidelity cardiac arrest scenario. The scenario was thoroughly engaging and highlighted the importance of early defibrillation and continuous, high-quality CPR in improving cardiac arrest outcomes, an area that featured prominently in Professor Nolan’s talk.
Mark Webster, VP of International Operations for ZOLL Medical, said; “The commitment of our valued customers has enabled us to experience strong, sustained growth in the UK and Irish resuscitation markets. Moving to larger premises is a measure of the continuous development of our operations here and will ensure we can continue to provide the highest level of support to rescuers, both professional and lay, as they seek to improve outcomes from sudden cardiac arrest. We were delighted to open our doors and welcome customers, suppliers and members of the local community to help us celebrate this significant milestone. ”
ZOLL’s Real CPR Help®, featured during the scenario on the ZOLL AED 3™ and X Series®, provides real-time audio and visual feedback on the rate and depth of compressions to guide rescuers in delivering high-quality CPR. The AutoPulse® and Quick Case were also showcased and demonstrated their value in continuing high-quality CPR, even when on the move, proven by a tricky extraction down a narrow, winding staircase.
