Abi Smith, corporate fundraiser at Brake, says: “Brake is delighted to have been chosen as charity partners by Talent in Logistics. With one in three fatal crashes in the UK each year involving at-work drivers, Brake prioritises working with people who drive for work. Any chance to work with and be present at industry events such as this is a brilliant opportunity for the charity. Talent in Logistics share and promote safe practices and positive driver culture, which Brake is proud to support. All the funds raised at the event will enable Brake to continue our life saving engagement work and support for those effected by the tragedy of road death and severe injury.”
Laura Nelson, Event Director of Talent in Logistics says: “Every 30 seconds someone, somewhere is killed on the roads. The effects of road crashes are devastating and the work that Brake does with communities and organisations across the UK is vitally important. It is an honour for Talent in Logistics to be working with Brake as our exclusive 2018 Charity Partner and we are looking forward to working with them. We have set up a Just Giving page and will be running various fundraising initiatives throughout the Talent in Logistics Conference and Awards, I hope the industry joins us in supporting this very special charity” Nelson continues.
